Experteer Overview In this role you lead the PreK-6 counseling department to advance a district-wide vision for counseling that integrates social-emotional learning, mental health, and academic achievement. You partner with district and school leaders to create a holistic, whole-child approach and scale SEL initiatives district-wide. You will drive equitable access and rigorous supports while guiding a path from prevention to intervention. This is a mission-centered opportunity to shape district practices that close gaps and support every student’s growth. Compensation / Benefits • Oversee hiring, supervision, evaluation, and professional development of the PreK-6 counseling team • Integrate MTSS with the district's Comprehensive Social-Emotional Learning and Mental Health Framework • Ensure Section 504 accommodation plans compliance and equitable access as District Administrator • Manage departmental budget and pursue grants for SEL and behavioral health initiatives • Collaborate with district and school leaders to align SEL/mental health supports with academic expectations Tasks • Valid Massachusetts Educator License as a Supervisor/Director or Administrator • Endorsement: SEI Administrator Endorsement required by start date • Educational leadership experience in schools or community organizations (strongly preferred) • Knowledge of Section 504 compliance and systemic implementation • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and dismantling systemic barriers • Deep knowledge of developmentally appropriate SEL and mental health practices with proven implementation experience Key requirements •
