Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A part-time to potential full-time opportunity is available for a School Psychologist in the San Bernardino, CA area, serving primarily at a high school with possible additional assignments at an elementary school. This role offers a meaningful chance to support diverse student populations by contributing expertise in assessments and special education services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting initial and triennial Individualized Education Program (IEP) evaluations
- Administering and interpreting assessments, rating scales, and observations
- Preparing and sending out assessment plans (APs)
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams during IEP meetings to present results and develop student support plans
- Managing a caseload typically ranging between 20 and 30 students
- Working on-site approximately 6.5 hours per day, three days per week, with the possibility to increase hours to full-time
Preferred qualifications:
- Licensed or eligible School Psychologist credential
- Experience with IEP processes and psychological assessments (new graduates who are well-prepared and able to perform independently are encouraged to apply)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Flexibility to work in a mountain community setting, with awareness of potential travel challenges due to weather conditions
This contract position allows for part-time work with the potential to transition into full-time hours over time. The setting includes a high school and possibly an elementary school campus.
