A part-time to potential full-time opportunity is available for a School Psychologist in the San Bernardino, CA area, serving primarily at a high school with possible additional assignments at an elementary school. This role offers a meaningful chance to support diverse student populations by contributing expertise in assessments and special education services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting initial and triennial Individualized Education Program (IEP) evaluations
  • Administering and interpreting assessments, rating scales, and observations
  • Preparing and sending out assessment plans (APs)
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams during IEP meetings to present results and develop student support plans
  • Managing a caseload typically ranging between 20 and 30 students
  • Working on-site approximately 6.5 hours per day, three days per week, with the possibility to increase hours to full-time

Preferred qualifications:

  • Licensed or eligible School Psychologist credential
  • Experience with IEP processes and psychological assessments (new graduates who are well-prepared and able to perform independently are encouraged to apply)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work in a mountain community setting, with awareness of potential travel challenges due to weather conditions

Candidates should consider the mountain location carefully due to possible weather-related travel and housing availability issues. Proactive discussion about commute and housing is advised before applying.
