A full-time and part-time opportunity is available for experienced School Psychologists to support student success during the 2025-2026 school year in Hyattsville, MD. This contract role involves providing quality in-person counseling, psychological evaluations, and collaborative IEP support in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver counseling services aligned with students Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, documenting sessions bi-weekly using MOIEP and related tracking tools.
- Provide transportation to assigned schools for service delivery on a monthly or bi-weekly basis.
- Participate in child-find, IEP, and 504 Plan meetings to assist in eligibility assessments, program planning, and document revisions.
- Conduct psychological assessments using a variety of tools to evaluate cognitive and behavioral functioning and write comprehensive psychological reports.
- Interpret assessment findings and recommend treatment strategies during interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, related service providers, parents/guardians, case managers, and special education coordinators to support student progress.
- Complete tri-annual IEP progress reports and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
- Minimum one year of experience conducting formal psychological evaluations and writing comprehensive reports for special education purposes.
- Experience counseling students in school settings focused on IEP goals.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively on multidisciplinary educational teams.
- Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychologists licensure required prior to permanent appointment; pending applications accepted.
- Valid Maryland drivers license required for duties involving vehicle operation.
