Foster Care Case Manager
Raintree is currently accepting applications for a Foster Care Case Manager. This is a salaried Full-time position with normal business hours (9a-5p, Mon.-Fri.). However, some assignments will require working on nights and weekends.
The ideal candidate MUST have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or a human service-related field.
- A minimum of 2 years’ work experience as a case manager, with the ability to function in a high-stress, intense, or crisis-prone environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work, take initiative, and effectively solve problems
- Teamwork-oriented; willing to work with others to meet deadlines
- Professionalism, ethics, and excellent people skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with insurance for use during working hours and as needed for home visits.
- Three references from most recent employers, educators, etc.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintains a caseload of 8-12 therapeutic foster children annually (dependent on level of care required) while creating service plans and helping participants achieve their goals.
- Provides assistance to foster families as needed when fellow case managers are unavailable.
- Conducts routine home visits to ensure that all requirements are met for participants and their foster families
- Assesses the home environment and, with the program manager, provides home studies for foster homes.
- Coordinate applications, interviewing, and contracting process of new RFC homes as needed.
- Provide therapeutic training for foster parents and teach basic parenting techniques.
- Functions as the primary contact for assigned foster parents 24/7. Must be available for emergencies.
- Assist with Foster Parent recruitment in the community (e.g., informational meetings, fairs, community events).
- Will also assist with foster parent files.
