Located in sunny Sunnyvale, CA, this contract position offers an opportunity for Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) to support K-12 students with diverse needs throughout the school year (CSY). The role involves working within a structured school environment to provide critical mental health services aimed at promoting student well-being and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group counseling services tailored to student needs across K-12 grades.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to develop effective intervention plans.
  • Conduct assessments and provide crisis intervention as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and ensure compliance with district policies.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student support planning.

Qualifications:

  • Valid LCSW license; PPS credential is not required.
  • Prior experience providing social work services within school settings preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development and mental health issues.
  • Ability to manage a caseload of students while prioritizing urgent student needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with educators and families.

Position Details:

  • Location: Sunnyvale, CA
  • Duration: Contract through the current school year (ASAP to End of School Year)
  • Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week
  • Caseload: K-12 students, with assignment to one school.
  • Interview: Remote, panel format, with decision typically within 24-28 hours.
