Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our residential treatment team serving adolescent girls. The ideal candidate is nurturing, structured, trauma-informed, and confident leading groups while supporting youth in developing emotional regulation, healthy relationships, and independent life skills.

This role is hands-on and relationship-based, working closely with teens in a therapeutic residential environment.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate therapeutic group sessions, including psychoeducation, emotional regulation, coping skills, and trauma-informed topics
  • Provide life skills training (communication, boundaries, self-care, problem-solving, daily living skills, etc.)
  • Implement and model Nurturing Parenting principles in daily interactions
  • Apply CANS (Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths) assessments to inform treatment planning and documentation
  • Support residents with behavior management, emotional processing, and crisis intervention
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, case managers, and direct care staff to support individualized treatment goals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards
  • Build safe, consistent, and supportive relationships with adolescent girls in care

Skills

  • Must meet QMHP requirements per state regulations
  • CANS certification (required)
  • Nurturing Parenting training (required)
  • Experience working with adolescent girls in residential, therapeutic, or behavioral health settings
  • Experience facilitating group therapy
  • Strong skills in teaching and modeling life skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Skilled in home & community care coordination for clients with complex needs or disabilities.
  • Knowledge of special education principles and working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organizational skills for data collection, case management documentation, and treatment planning.
  • Compassionate approach combined with the ability to manage challenging behaviors through behavioral management techniques. Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
