JOB RESPONSIBILITIESProgram - Coordinate with leadership and internal departments to move strategic initiatives and meet established objectives around community engagement, community health and health promotion. Foster positive relationships among internal and external stakeholders and team in the areas to promote child health through community partnerships and employee engagement. May serve as the office-based contact person for the medical center's involvement with external community organizations and internal medical center units focused on quality improvement workforce development or pipeline programs. May assist with proposals and ongoing communications which address career exploration, employee development or systems transformation. Provides support & coordination including database development, data entry, reporting and fiscal management/tracking.Community Partnerships and Health Education - Knowledge of community engagement principles (best practices and effective strategies for collaboration with internal and community partners). May provide support for community education and health promotion. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and successfully with community organizations. Support strategic partnerships with community organizations, residents /patients and stakeholders that share a common mission with CCHMC. Support and attend CCHMC sponsored events as related to roles and goals.Community Engagement - Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders that share a common mission with CCHMC. May represent CCHMC on community boards and committees or organizations that support the strategic objectives of CCHMC. Support and attend CCHMC sponsored events as related to roles and goals.Training & communication - Prepare employee volunteers or community stakeholders through structured presentations and unstructured interactions for resolving questions. May facilitate employee knowledge of department and enterprise objectives by documenting regularly scheduled meetings and preparing appropriate reports. Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills w/ the ability to provide and receive information from both internal and external audiences. Computer literate and working knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel.
