Position Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our mental health services team within the detention center. The ideal candidate will have experience in crisis intervention, individual and group therapy, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals in detention settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify needs, risks, and strengths specific to the detained population.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide direct therapeutic services, including crisis intervention, individual therapy, and group therapy, utilizing evidence-based practices suited to the detention environment.
- Engage in risk assessment and management to ensure the safety of all individuals within the detention center.
- Maintain detailed and confidential records in compliance with legal, ethical, and institutional requirements.
- Provide training and support to detention center staff on mental health issues, crisis intervention strategies, and promoting a therapeutic environment.
- Liaise with external mental health services and community resources to facilitate continuity of care and reintegration planning for detainees.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Active, unrestricted license as an LCSW in North Carolina.
- Demonstrated skills in assessment, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and navigate complex systems of care.
