Guidance Counselor Leave Replacement

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must be an active student advocate that encourages student voice.
• Works with students on academic planning and goal setting.
• Provides short term counseling: individual, group, and crisis intervention as needed.
• Collaboration with teachers, administration, families, and outside resources.
• Employs data driven decision making in order to provide proactive remediation and intervention.
• Works to improve equity, access, achievement, and opportunities for all students.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess or be eligible for New York State School Guidance Counselor Certification

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

• Prior experience at the high school level preferred.
