Experteer Overview In this role you support Veterans through evidence-based counseling within VARC’s addiction and mental health programs. You work as part of an interdisciplinary team to develop and monitor individualized treatment plans for clients with complex needs. You provide individual and group counseling, engage families when appropriate, and lead crisis intervention and stabilization when required. The position offers meaningful opportunities to impact recovery and community reintegration, within a VA Whole Health framework. Compensation / Benefits • Provide diagnostic, counseling, and care planning services for a caseload with co-occurring disorders and addiction issues • Develop, review, and modify individualized treatment plans • Deliver evidence-based individual and group counseling for addiction and mental health problems • Engage families and supports in educational and counseling activities as appropriate • Lead skills-building and educational groups to support recovery and relapse prevention • Perform complex crisis intervention and stabilization using independent judgment • Collaborate with patients to establish goals through advanced counseling practices and assessments • Work within an interdisciplinary team to support patient functioning and treatment outcomes Tasks • Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CACREP-accredited) • Current, unrestricted license to independently practice as an LPMHC (or eligible with supervision as allowed by VA policy) • U.S. citizenship • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) • Background/security investigation clearance • 1–2 year trial period consideration for public interest alignment • Knowledge of DSM and counseling interventions; ability to conduct intake, assessment, and treatment planning Key requirements •
