Yamhill County typically hires between steps 1-4Yamhill County has one regular part-time to full-time position for a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor with a valid CADC to provide on-site treatment and recovery support in five transitional housing and day treatment settings for adult men and women with children. The candidate will primarily be assigned to the Dads residential home and will be responsible for monitoring compliance, including abstinence testing through monitored urine screening. The adult residents will have a history of substance abuse and/or mental health disorders and are in the process of retaining or regaining custody of their children. Duties will include providing assistance/input in case treatment planning for clients in short-term housing, case management, and skills training services to assist residents in linking and accessing services and obtaining and maintaining entitlements. Bachelor's degree in a related field
At least one year of experience in a setting relevant to the duties and skills.
Appropriate combination of education and experience may be substituted for degree.
Must also meet QMHA requirements per State Medicaid rule and have the ability to obtain certification as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) upon hire.
Must have a current CADC certificate, or the ability to obtain one within one year of starting.
