Do you believe technology should amplify great teaching, not replace it? Are you energized by collaborating with teachers to design engaging, student-centered learning experiences that thoughtfully integrate technology? The Walker School is seeking an Educational Technology Coordinator who is excited to work side by side with educators to bring innovation, curiosity, and meaningful learning to classrooms from Early Learners through Grade 12.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with teachers to integrate technology into student centered, inquiry based instruction
- Provide leadership in selecting and implementing instructional technology tools and platforms
- Design and facilitate professional development for faculty, including summer training
- Support faculty use of the LMS, Google Apps for Education, and future instructional systems
- Collaborate with the Director of Technology to align instructional needs with IT infrastructure
- Manage academic technology budgets for hardware and software
- Teach two sections of Middle or Upper School technology courses
- Stay current on best practices and research in educational technology
- Contribute to the life of the school, with opportunities to coach robotics or sponsor student organizations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
- Demonstrated experience supporting students and faculty with educational technology
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to The Walker School’s mission and core values
- Desire to be an engaged member of a vibrant school community
