Lake Park High School is currently hiring for the full-time position of School Counselor - 1.0 FTE:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in School Counseling
  • Professional Educator License with School Counselor endorsement
  • Experience as a classroom teacher or guidance counselor preferred
  • Knowledge of basic counseling, leadership, and management skills
  • Proficient with PCs, tablets, and other mobile electronic devices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google apps, and cloud-based applications
  • Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
  • Demonstrated aptitude as a self-starter who works with minimal supervision
  • Effective interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Effective human relations and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong orientation toward providing customer service
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work positively and productively with adults and high school-age students

ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES: School Counselor

SALARY/RATE: Annual salary of $74,471 to $99,695, based on relevant experience and education per Appendix A of the Licensed Salary Schedule in the District 108 Negotiated Agreement.
