We are hiring for Summer Camp Counselors
We are looking for Secondary Counselors (16-20 years old) for our Outdoor Youth Programs!
Spend your Summer months in the beautiful outdoors, teaching campers the basics of fishing. Our fishing camps have two age groups: 6-9-year-olds and 10-14-year-olds.
We visit private and public waters to fish for bass, sunfish, catfish, crappie, and whatever is biting! We have access to kayaks, canoes, and jon boats that the campers utilize daily. Our main goal is to help campers build a positive relationship with the outdoors.
Applicants must work well in groups and be responsible, adaptive, and outgoing. Flexible hours, competitive pay, and a fun work environment! The job duties include keeping campers safe in the outdoors, planning summer camp games, and helping to create a fun week!
Preferred work experience: Fishing Knowledge and Experience that complements being a camp counselor, such as: Camp Counselor, Raft Guide, Lifeguard, etc.
Helpful experience, but not required: Mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, experience working or interacting with youth
Skills
- Patient and reliable
- Experience working with children
- Familiarity with various outdoor activities
- Energetic and positive personality
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (doing activities outside in the Summer)
- First aid- and CPR-certified preferred for Secondary Counselors (if you don't have it, we will organize a CPR class)
