Art Therapist / Licensed Counselor

The Ideal Candidate will:

• Have continued education in specialized areas of work for professional growth and development
• Be a self-motivator, organized and able to work independently
• Be proficient in clinical documentation
• Have working knowledge of word, excel, and Electronic Medical Record
• Have strong communicator skills, be flexible and a team player

General Role Description:

• Facilitate group and individual art therapy sessions
• Co-facilitate groups and joint individual sessions with other creative arts therapists
• Complete initial assessments and treatment plans as referred
• Create stimulating, developmentally & age-appropriate individual and group sessions based on the needs of clientele
• Attend interdisciplinary team meetings as needed
• Refer to other disciplines as needed/not practicing out of scope
• Complete required documentation in timely manner

Employment Standards, Qualifications and Requirements:

• Master’s Degree in Art Therapy and Counseling
• Board – Certified Art Therapist or Registered Art Therapist
• Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker
• Driven to support organizational growth, focused on the clinical services delivered by the organization
• Strengths in problem solving/analysis, decision making, clinical supervision and communication
• Excellent teamwork orientation
• Must have a car and a valid driver’s license
