Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – School-Based Role
Location: Central Islip, Long Island, NY | Suffolk County

Compensation: $23.00 – $27.00 per hour (depending on experience and certification level)

Schedule: Full-time or Part-time | Follows the full school-day schedule (coverage role available)

Setting: Public and private school environments – elementary, middle, and high school

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized ABA therapy and behavioral support throughout the school day under the direction of a BCBA.

  • Implement and monitor behavior intervention plans aligned with each student's learning goals.

  • Record accurate data on behavior and progress.

  • Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and clinical supervisors to promote student success.

  • Maintain documentation consistent with school and insurance standards.

  • Participate in professional development and ongoing training sessions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field (required)

  • RBT certification required

  • Prior school-based or special education experience (required)

  • Minimum of 2 years of ABA experience preferred

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational abilities

  • Availability for full school-day schedule or flexible coverage hours

  • Reliable transportation to assigned school sites
