Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) or a Provisional Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (PLMFT).

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
As a Professional Counselor 1-4, the incumbent will:
- Provide advanced clinical services through individual, family and/or group counseling to a complex caseload of behavioral health clients.
- Prepare person centered plans for clients based on recommended levels of care.
- Provide both written and verbal consultation to other agencies.
- Assist the clinic manager in designing and implementing programs which address community needs.
Position-Specific Details:
Location: This position is located at SCLHSA's River Parishes Behavioral Health Center located in Laplace, LA.
Appointment Type: Probationary Appointment
Compensation: The actual starting salary depends on the education and experience of the selected applicant.
Career Progression Group (CPG): This position participates in a CPG and may be filled as a Professional Counselor 1, 2, 3, or 4 level at which the vacancy is filled will be determined by the qualifications of the candidate selected. This position provides the opportunity to advance within this job series.
