Babies R Precious Maternal Infant Health Program service pregnant mothers and infants under 1 year of age who are receiving state Medicaid. Babies R Precious is looking for a Social Worker to join our team.

You must be a Michigan Resident and have a current Social Work License, LLBSW, LBSW, LLMSW and/or LMSW. The counties that we service are Wayne, Oakland and Macomb. The Social Worker must have at least two years of experience working with pregnant mothers, infants and families.

The Social Work responsibilities:

- complete intake assessments on maternal and infant clients

- make monthly home visits

- telehealth visits

- call referrals monthly

- audit their caseload monthly

- provide make nutritional support

- educate the family with birth planning

- food insecurities issues, diaper bank resource

- clothing resource, emotional support

- counseling and mental health resource

- employment, housing

- encourage mothers to attend all ob/gyn appointments to have a healthy birth outcome.

- educate mothers to take their infant to all well child visits, stay up to date with vaccination/immunization shots.

- provide other community resources to help our families thrive and live a healthy lifestyle & complete Ages & Stages Questionnaire’s on infant clients as needed.

Social Work will have trainings to complete upon the hiring process. This position is a contractor position and there are NO Benefits Offered. Paid $40 per visit and paid weekly. Please send your resume by email to babiesrprecious2014@gmail.com
