Duties and Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching at least one section of Counseling and Psychology with the potential for future courses in the candidate's field.
- Provide instruction with a keen interest and enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring students of all levels and abilities.
- Previous teaching experience is strongly preferred.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, both in the division and throughout the University.
- An earned doctoral degree in Counseling or Psychology or a related field. License in Psychology preferred.
- Candidate must possess a keen interest and enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring students as well as the ability to work effectively with students of all levels and abilities.
- Be able to work with a diverse student population.
- Must have two to four year's prior college teaching experience in the field of Counseling and Psychology is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues both in the department and throughout the University community.
- Support the Mission of the University.
- Ability to engage in critical thinking and exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage confidential information.
- Self-starter, ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form, and
- Computer skills and proficiency with a variety of computer applications including word-processing, and reporting platforms, as well as calendaring and email.
