Job Overview
Join our dedicated team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and become a vital part of transforming lives through compassionate, evidence-based behavioral therapy. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, to implement personalized treatment plans rooted in applied behavior analysis (ABA). Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), focusing on skill development and reducing challenging behaviors.
- Collect accurate data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions to inform ongoing treatment adjustments.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, dressing, and other essential self-care tasks.
- Support clients during teaching sessions, utilizing evidence-based strategies such as discrete trial training and natural environment teaching.
- Maintain detailed and compliant medical documentation, including progress notes, care plans, and behavioral records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with families, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies across settings.
- Promote a positive environment that encourages growth, patience, and motivation for clients working through behavioral health challenges.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management techniques, and special education principles.
- Ability to assist clients with ADLs and support their overall well-being through patient care practices.
- Strong skills in data collection, medical documentation, and understanding medical terminology related to behavioral health.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Must adhere to HIPAA standards to ensure confidentiality and privacy of client information.
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is required; ongoing training provided. Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5.0 – 10.0 per week
