Position Summary
The Intake Coordinator is responsible for the registration of incoming clients and is often the first point of contact within the clinic. This role manages the financial intake process for each client and ensures that all required client information is accurately collected, processed, and documented.
The Intake Coordinator schedules appointments with the appropriate intake therapist and performs essential clerical duties, including managing paperwork, creating new client charts, data entry, and answering phones.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of mental health clinic services and clerical operations are essential. Basic computer skills are required.
Key ResponsibilitiesIntake and Client Coordination
- Initiate contact to gather required clinical and demographic information from clients and referral sources
- Schedule intake appointments with intake therapists and complete all required paperwork, including financial intake
- Review referrals and verify completeness and accuracy of information
- Coordinate with the Clinical Supervisor regarding case assignments as needed
- Maintain overall oversight of the intake process and case assignments
Front Desk and Administrative Support
- Provide receptionist coverage when not coordinating intakes
- Receive walk-in clients and manage urgent phone referrals
- Maintain and update a list of referral sources
- Assist with the implementation of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and its impact on intake procedures
- Ensure all intake therapists have required intake documentation forms available
- Serve as office assistant as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications
- Degree in a health-related field with at least QMHP accreditation
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
