The Trauma Recovery Center (TRC) is an award winning program that is the first of its kind in New York. It is designed to help victims of violent crime overcome barriers to accessing mental health treatment, health care, and legal resources in the acute aftermath of trauma. The Trauma Recovery Center provides trauma-informed psychotherapy and assertive case management services to victims of interpersonal violence, with a focus on reaching survivors from underserved communities. Although certification/experience in trauma models is required, the positions will offer ongoing training and support in providing evidence-based treatment and trauma-informed practice. Caseloads will be tailored to ensure TRC staff can provide an array of evidence-based trauma interventions to their clients.

The primary purpose of the Trauma Recovery Center Care Manager is to serve as a role model and community liaison to clients who are enrolled in the Trauma Recovery Center that serves the victims of violent crimes and their families towards healing and health of symptoms related to the trauma from the violence. The TRC Care Manager is expected to develop relationships based on trust with clients and families utilization a trauma-informed approach, provide reliable information, appropriate community resource referrals, and emotional support to victims of violence. The TRC Care Manager will meet with clients in the community, as well as structured and assertive outreach meeting to referral resources and community supports.

Salary: $49,999.00-$49,999.00/year

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree. Bilingual Preferred. 2 years recent experience.
