Primary Purpose: Provides effective counseling services to outpatient clients and adolescents in accordance with OASAS and Agency rules and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Provides group and individual counseling services to clients in recovery; this includes motivation, support, and encouragement for client goals.
- Works cooperatively with the multidisciplinary treatment team to meet the treatment needs of each client.
- Conducts screenings, assessments and referrals. Motivates clients to do their best
- Writes effective treatment plans.
- Maintains a caseload.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation in case records according to agency policy and regulatory requirements.
- Attends and participates in all assigned meetings, trainings, case conference and committees.
- Makes and completes all referrals to appropriate services.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field. Relevant work experience may be substituted for a degree.
- A minimum of two (2) years' work experience as a counselor, preferably in an OASAS licensed Outpatient Chemical Dependency treatment program.
License Requirements: Minimum of CASAC-T is required.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
