We are a growing behavioral health organization dedicated to providing high-quality, trauma-informed mental health services to youth residing in group home settings. We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to provide in-person group therapy across several group homes throughout Suffolk County.
Position Summary
The LMSW Group Therapist will facilitate structured therapeutic groups for youth living in residential group homes. Sessions focus on emotional regulation, social skills, coping skills, conflict resolution, trauma-responsive practices, and supporting daily functioning. The clinician will collaborate closely with residential staff, care managers, and the supervising clinical team to ensure high-quality, client-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-person group therapy at designated group homes in Suffolk County.
- Conduct structured weekly therapeutic groups (6–10 participants).
- Utilize evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT-informed skills, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed approaches.
- Complete all documentation in compliance with Medicaid, agency, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with residential staff regarding group schedules, client participation, and behavioral observations.
- Communicate progress or concerns to clinical supervisors and care management teams.
- Maintain a professional, supportive, and safe therapeutic environment.
Qualifications
- LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) – NYS required
- Experience working with youth, adolescents, or adults or residential/group home populations strongly preferred
- Strong clinical skills in group facilitation and behavior management
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and travel between sites
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
