Experteer Overview In this role you will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and evidence-based treatment for patients with mental health disorders, including co-occurring substance use issues. You will support non-physician providers with psychiatric consultation and may supervise clinical staff. You will participate in conferences, ensure quality patient care, and contribute to a systems approach within HHSA’s Behavioral Health Branch. Compensation / Benefits • Prepare psychiatric evaluations and reports, diagnose, and provide therapy • Prescribe, administer, and dispense medications • Participate in staff conferences, treatment reviews, and medical record reviews • Provide direction to and consult with mental health staff on patient care • Orient and train new clinical staff; present case topics periodically • Serve on Utilization Review Committees and perform related duties Tasks • Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited medical school • License to practice medicine in California • Board certification or ABPN-approved psychiatry residency (Level I: ABPN residency completion) • For Level II: one year of supervisory experience in behavioral health and proof of Board certification from ABPN • Special requirements: malpractice insurance acceptance within one year and credentialing under 42 CFR 438.214 Key requirements • loan repayment up to $50,000 for a two-year commitment
