Experteer Overview In this role you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care within the Article 16 Clinic, integrating medical and behavioral health services to support recovery. You will work with a cross-functional team to diagnose, treat, and manage psychiatric care, including primary prescriptive responsibilities. You will supervise colleagues, guide treatment plans, and contribute to program-wide psychiatric strategies. This position offers meaningful impact in a statewide, public health context with opportunities to influence care for individuals in residential and transitional settings. Compensation / Benefits • Independently diagnose, treat, and prescribe for assigned individuals • Provide clinical supervision to medical personnel and clinicians • Advise residential multi-disciplinary treatment teams on psychiatric plans of care • Oversee psychiatric services for a program, group, facility, or unit • Provide after-hours and weekend on-call medical telephone consult on a rotating basis • Cover psychiatric care for individuals in a Comprehensive Adult Transitional Home • Assist with physician coverage in sister regions Tasks • License to practice medicine in New York State • Board certification in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology Key requirements • Health insurance and family dental/vision • 13 paid holidays and substantial leave (vacation, sick, personal) • Paid parental leave • Retirement plan (ERS) • Professional development and tuition assistance • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
