Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide direct behavioral therapy to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. This role involves implementing individualized treatment plans, collecting data on client progress, and assisting clients with daily living activities (ADLs). The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles.

Duties

  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Provide direct behavioral therapy to clients, focusing on improving communication, social skills, and daily living skills.
  • Assist clients with ADLs as needed, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Collect and record data on client behavior and progress in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, including care plans and medical records.
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively.
  • Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral health and special education.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities or autism.
  • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles and techniques.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation practices, and care plans.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to collect data accurately and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Previous experience in patient care or special education is preferred but not required.
