Position Posting

Department: The Center for New Beginnings

Position: Full Time Victim Advocate

Timing of Opening: Immediate

Skills:

· Ability to advocate for victims of domestic violence.

· Utilize knowledge of legal rights, responsibilities and options to victims and provide referral and support as needed.

· Provide assistance in completing and filing Civil Protection Orders and Stalking Orders.

· Provide court accompaniment and follow up.

· Maintain strict confidentiality and ethical boundaries.

· Valid Driver’s License

Education:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field preferred. Consideration will be given to candidates with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Human Services or related field with a combination of experience working in the field of domestic violence.

Hours: 40 Hours per week (Monday-Friday)

Status Full time; exempt, salary
