Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a dedicated School Counselor to support students in an elementary school setting, focusing on grades K-2. The position is a full-time contract role for the current school year, providing essential counseling services to young learners within a committed educational environment.
Location:
- Richardson, TX (Elementary School)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to K-2 students to support their social and emotional development.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to address student needs and promote a positive school climate.
- Develop and implement programs that enhance students academic and personal growth.
- Manage a caseload of students, maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Participate in student intervention teams and assist with crisis management as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Counselor.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably K-2.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative school environment.
- Knowledge of counseling ethics and student confidentiality.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
