Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis principles under the guidance of BCBAs or BCaBAs.
- Assist clients in developing essential life skills and promoting independence.
- Collect data on client progress and behavior for ongoing assessment.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to adjust treatment strategies as needed.
- Support clients during therapy sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Adhere to the ethical guidelines of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Attend mandatory training and continuing education opportunities.
- Communicate regularly with the clinical team regarding client progress and any concerns.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A bachelor's degree in psychology, education, social work, or a related field is preferred.
- Current RBT certification from BACB is required.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes or other settings as required.
- Preferred: 1+ year experience with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Strong communication, patience, and adaptability.
- Familiarity with ABA principles and data collection methods.
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism.
- Proficiency in assisting clients with daily living activities.
- Understanding of ABA terminology relevant to behavioral health settings.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and the BACB ethical guidelines.
- Experience in behavioral therapy methods and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment
The RBT will work in the client's home setting.
Part-time - Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
