Compensation: $70.00 per hour
Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week, in accordance with contract requirements
Contract Duration: Base Year with up to four (4) option years

POSITION SUMMARY

Paradigm Professional Health Services, Inc. seeks a qualified Behavioral Health Counselor to provide on-site, school-based counseling services to students in a Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) school setting. The counselor will support students’ emotional, behavioral, and social well-being while working collaboratively with school leadership and adhering to all BIE, Department of the Interior (DOI), and school policies.

This role is critical to Paradigm’s mission of delivering reliable, compliant, and culturally responsive behavioral health services in federally regulated educational environments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Behavioral Health Counselor will:

  • Provide direct behavioral health counseling services to students in a school setting
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions, as appropriate
  • Develop, document, and maintain counseling records, treatment plans, and service minutes in accordance with BIE and school requirements
  • Coordinate with school administrators, teachers, and support staff to support student success
  • Comply with mandated reporter requirements, student safety standards, and confidentiality laws (HIPAA, Privacy Act)
  • Participate in meetings, case coordination, and oversight activities as required
  • Maintain professional conduct and reliability in an on-site educational environment
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and on time

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, School Counseling, or a closely related behavioral health field

Licensure / Certification

  • Current, unrestricted U.S. state license or certification authorizing independent practice (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist, School Counselor, or equivalent)

Experience

  • Minimum three (3) years providing counseling or therapy services in a school-based or youth-focused setting
  • Minimum one (1) year of crisis intervention experience
  • Demonstrated experience working in a school environment (required)
  • Experience working with Tribal communities or Native American students (preferred)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to provide on-site services during school hours
  • Ability to successfully complete BIE background investigation and clearance requirements prior to start
  • Commitment to professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and ethical practice
  • Ability to commit to the contract for a minimum of 120 days, with longer availability preferred

COMPENSATION & TERMS

  • Hourly Rate: $70.00 per hour
  • Employer paid Professional liability insurance

Note: This position is contingent upon contract award to Paradigm Professional Health Services, Inc.

Pay: $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
