Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time School Psychologist position is available within a K-12 school setting in Fort Worth, TX. This contract role is itinerant, supporting six schools including one high school, one middle school, one intermediate school, and three elementary schools. The assignment spans from ASAP through May 21, 2026.
Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations, including Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) as part of initial evaluations. The psychologist will also be responsible for all counseling evaluations and providing consult counseling in collaboration with Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs). Attendance at Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings is generally not required unless the case is controversial or if parents express disagreement, with the exception that attendance is expected for Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs).
Qualifications and experience:
- Valid License Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or Associate School Psychologist Credential issued by the Board of Examiners of Psychologist
- Experience conducting psychological and counseling evaluations in school settings
- Ability to manage an itinerant caseload across multiple schools effectively
- Strong consultative communication skills to collaborate with counseling staff and school teams
- Knowledge of K-12 educational systems and special education procedures
