Bridge the Gap is hiring Substitute Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to provide school-based coverage in the Temecula area. This role is ideal for RBTs seeking flexible assignments while gaining experience in collaborative school settings. Sub RBTs provide intensive behavioral support to students ages 4–22, working alongside teachers and support staff to implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans. Typical shifts run 6.5 hours per day, between 7:30 am and 3:30 pm. Assignments may vary by site within the Temecula region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Understand and apply the basic principles of ABA in classroom settings as directed.

2. Collect and submit data needed for Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP's) if requested.

3. Implement Behavior Intervention Plans to affect behavior changes

4. Model implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans for paraprofessionals and staff

5. When required, provide physical intervention for students demonstrating unsafe behaviors

6. Perform and document district approved crisis intervention methods.

7. Attend department meetings with the BCBA and other classroom staff if required.

8. Maintain consistency of Behavioral Intervention Plans by communicating and providing input to teachers and other support staff.

9. May work 1:1 or with multiple students depending on classroom need.

Qualifications

- Competent in use of data collection methods
- RBT Certification
- Experience with children (school experience preferred)
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities
- Experience working with people with autism
- Special education background

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
