Partners for Independence, Inc. is a Behavioral Day Program serving adults with
intellectual and developmental disabilities through structured behavioral supports, skill
building, and community integration.

centered care. Our staff receive hands-on mentorship, clear systems, and consistent
support to ensure high-quality services across all settings.
We are expanding our clinical team and seeking a BCBA who enjoys hands-on work,
staff collaboration, and a structured, supportive environment.
POSITION SUMMARY
The BCBA is a key clinical leader within the program—responsible for developing,
implementing, and overseeing individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs), conducting
assessments, training staff, and supporting participant stability.
The BCBA reports to the Program Director and works in close collaboration with our
long-standing Behavioral Psychologist to support strong clinical decision-making and the
real-world application of ABA within day program environments.
This position is ideal for a newly certified BCBA or a BCBA seeking a supportive, high-
growth, team-oriented environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical & Assessment
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA/FAI) and ongoing behavior
evaluations.
- Develop, update, and oversee individualized BSPs.
- Make clinical recommendations informed by data and participant needs.
Training & Staff Development
- Provide hands-on modeling, coaching, and competency-based staff training.
- Create simplified tools and visuals to improve implementation fidelity.
- Support staff in maintaining a calm, consistent approach to participant engagement.
Program Oversight
- Monitor daily BSP implementation for safety, accuracy, and consistency.
- Participate in crisis prevention and post-incident debriefs.
- Collaborate with leadership to support participant stability and program integrity.
Data & Documentation
- Oversee data collection and ensure accuracy.
- Analyze trends and provide meaningful summaries.
- Maintain timely, professional behavioral documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Master’s degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or related field.
- Active BCBA certification (in good standing).
- Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities (practicum or post-
certification acceptable).
- Strong communication, modeling, and coaching skills.
- A calm, positive, professional presence with participants and staff.
Preferred
- Experience in day program, community, or school-based setting.
- Comfortable working in active, hands-on environments.
- Interest in ongoing collaboration with a Behavioral Psychologist.
Additional Requirements
- CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
- Background clearance.

SCHEDULE & ENVIRONMENT
- Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- On-site role at our Behavioral Day Program in Burlingame.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
