Temporary Housing Case Manager

PsychPros is a nationally recognized staffing and recruiting firm dedicated to the behavioral healthcare field. We are currently hiring a Permanent Supportive Housing Case Manager to work full-time with clients in Pasadena, CA. This is a TEMPORARY ASSIGNMENT with no set end date and the potential for converting to a permanent position for a strong candidate.

Requirements-

• A minimum of one year of experience providing case management support to people experiencing homelessness, or at risk of homelessness, including working with people experiencing chronic health issues, mental health needs, or with histories of substance use is required.
• A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Sociology is preferred.
• Possess a valid California driver's license and have access to properly registered vehicle.

Pay-

• $23.50/hour

Schedule-

• Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

Responsibilities-

• Conduct ongoing tenant engagement to encourage participation in support services under a Housing First model.
• Assist tenants with understanding the services that are available and with accessing those services.
• Provide case management and referrals to keep tenants connected with the agency and community resources that meet their housing, financial, social service, mental health and physical health needs.
• Assist tenants with maintaining their housing within permanent supportive housing.
• Support community building through participating and leading social activities, support groups, and providing educational opportunities
• Transport tenants as needed to essential appointments and to access necessary community resources
