Job Description:Primary Purpose:Facilitate the efficient operation of both the school counseling and assistant principals’ offices by maintaining current and accurate confidential student records including organizing all state testing materials and discipline referrals.QualificationsEducation/Certification:High school diploma or equivalentSpecial Knowledge and Skills:Proficient typing, word processing, and file management skillsEffective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets and databases, and word processingExperienceOne to three years secretarial/clerical experience, preferably in a public education environmentMajor Responsibilities and Duties1. Assist in organizing all state testing materials.2. Maintain all records dealing with student discipline.3. Set up in- school suspension and Saturday D-Hall schedules4. Prepare or create all forms, correspondence, and documents for the counselor and assistantprincipals’ offices5. Coordinate the scheduling for all PST and 504 meetings with parents and teachers6. Maintain folders for all At-Risk students7. Assign students’ lockers and maintain records in computer8.
