Part Time LMHC or LMFT

PsychAssociates Group is a leading psychologist-owned group practice, founded in 1993. Our therapists provide high quality behavioral health services to populations in short-term acute rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities throughout all five boroughs of New York City, Long Island, and Westchester County.

PsychAssociates Group is currently looking for a part time LMHC or LMFT at our highly sought after New Hyde Park location. Therapists will work under the supervision of a NYS Licensed Psychologist.

Requirements:

• Active NYS LMFT or NYS LMHC

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and provide treatment to patients with varied mental health needs in a culturally sensitive, professional and ethical manner. Challenging issues that our staff encounter with our short and long-term care patients include adjustment to change, compliance with care and medication, anxiety, depression, compulsive behavior, isolation and withdrawal, and low self-esteem
• Collaborate with treatment teams and other related service providers to assure continuity of care
• Present in-service trainings to other clinical disciplines within the facility to optimize patient outcomes
