- Provide comprehensive mental health assessments for the purpose of initiating a service plan for each client that will include, but is not limited to determining provisional diagnosis, identifying the level of service needs, addressing client needs/goals for treatment planning. Will provide evidence based clinical interventions. Provide therapy services as needed. Meet patients care hours standards.
- In conjunction with the Access Center and clinical staff, identifies persons in need of stabilization and crisis services, coordinates to provide mobile crisis and/or outreach services and interventions to individual and their families. Triages cases and responds to crisis promptly, assists staff members in attending to client needs, participates in clinical staffing. Provides advanced level crisis management services in accordance with Center policies and procedures. Provides services with a client-centered approach to care and adheres to mobile crisis standards.
- Completes and submits clinical documentation that is clear, concise, focuses on client driven care, and meets required timelines and services elements. Completes documentation and services in accordance with QA/QI standards, policies and procedures. Demonstrates the use of Collaborative Documentation.
- Adheres to laws, policies, procedures of the Center, OMH, and the State, including Corporate Compliance policies, procedures and regulations. Ensures required documentation is completed in a timely manner include signatures for Consent to Treatment, Confidentiality and Privacy Practices notices, and other required forms, meeting quality standards.
- Helps ensure the Center maintains CARF accreditation standards and positive quality audits.
- Participates in activities promoting ongoing professional development and training.
- Completes other job-related duties as assigned.
- A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or related field that qualifies for licensures as an LPC or LISW.
- Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
- Knowledge about the impact of mental illness on children, adolescents, and their families.
- Knowledge about theories and methods of intervention.
- Knowledge about the etiology and treatment of behavioral and emotional disorders is preferable.
- A high level of attention to detail and task completion as well as dependability.
- Familiarity with relevant systems of care and agency characteristics.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with individuals, families, and other professionals.
- Ability to provide education/awareness activities in school and community.
