Basic Function
The School Counselor at Graduation Solutions holds a pivotal role in educating students and mentors
about complex academic, personal, career and post-secondary queries, catering to the diverse needs of
students. School Counselors provide direct support to students with the aim of fostering goals that inspire
students to complete their high school journey with purpose and determination, paving the way for a
future rich with opportunities for growth and success. The School Counselor also has a crucial role in the
development and company-wide implementation of ILP Pathway content, aligning Next Step Department
curriculum with the both the American School Counselor Association and National College Access
Network standards, and the Arizona Education and Career Action Plan (ECAP) requirements. This
position offers the ability to work in a hybrid setting.
The Key Performance Indicator (KPI) that measures the School Counselor’s efficacy and success is the
execution of student guidance through addressing student referral requests and data-driven proactive
student outreach. The successful School Counselor will complete initial outreach for referred students
within two business days of submission with 90% efficacy.
Responsibilities
1. Student Referrals: Promptly and effectively deliver comprehensive school counseling services to
students referred by mentors and staff, focusing on the three ASCA School Counseling Pillars
(Academic, College/Career, and Social/Emotional.)
2. Event Coordination: Organize and implement in-person and/or virtual school counseling-themed
events, including workshops and small group counseling.
3. Next Step Curriculum: Develop, train, and execute school counseling programming based on
ECAP, College Access, and ASCA standards.
4. Records Analysis and Enrollment Support: Conduct thorough analysis of student educational
records to assess eligibility and high school equivalency for various concurrent and postsecondary credit/training opportunities, offering guidance and supporting enrollment needs.
5. ESS Support: Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as requested to contribute support and school
counseling expertise to Case Management as student accommodations and transition plans are
created. Hold a working knowledge of IEPs and 504 plans, homebound, chronic illness and other
special circumstances, contributing to the continuity of the educational plan for those students.
6. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Degree: Master’s degree in Education: School Counseling required. Certification: AZ School Counseling
Certification required.
Experience
At least 2 years of experience as a teacher, school counselor, or school administrator is preferred. You are
required to obtain and maintain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
