Counselor Specialist

Find your niche working with youth in counseling, music, arts, or trades training to “catch a kid doing something right” and change their life.

Counselors will be responsible for facilitating program activities during the afternoon and evening, from 2:45 pm to 10:45 pm. No weekend hours. Additional responsibilities may include coaching, trade instruction, communication with parents/guardians and case documentation.

We provide comprehensive training necessary to complete all position responsibilities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are beneficial. Most importantly, candidates must demonstrate the desire to develop healthy relationships with our youth and serve as positive role models to make a difference in a child’s life.

The Academy Schools promotes from within for nearly all direct-care positions. All training tools and professional development necessary for advancement are provided on the job.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $43,000.00 per year
