Bilingual Substance Abuse Counselor (Fee for Service)

The Bilingual Substance Abuse Counselor is a full-time role responsible for providing individual and group counseling to clients with alcohol and/or drug addiction, some referred by courts, probation, or self-referral. The clinician conducts assessments, treatment planning, and documentation in compliance with state standards, collaborating with families and community resources.

Requirements include an Associate's degree with 2 years of experience or an Addiction Counseling Certification, along with clinical experience (1 year with a Bachelor's, 6 months with a Master's). Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is mandatory, demonstrated during the interview. Knowledge of addiction dynamics, Latino culture, and holistic treatment approaches is essential.
