Requirements include an Associate's degree with 2 years of experience or an Addiction Counseling Certification, along with clinical experience (1 year with a Bachelor's, 6 months with a Master's). Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is mandatory, demonstrated during the interview. Knowledge of addiction dynamics, Latino culture, and holistic treatment approaches is essential.
