The responsibilities of the Part Time Social Worker position include providing social work services to patients and families and to assure adequate and timely coverage of patients.

The ideal candidate is willing to travel. Previous Hospice experience a plus.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SOCIAL WORKER:

• LMSW - Licensed in Ohio
• Master's degree preferred
• Must have a car
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Understanding of the psycho-social issues related to families in crisis and end of life issues.
• Experience and competency to perform a psycho-social assessment and intervene appropriately.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups.
• Experience and competency to work in the home or facility setting.
• Education and competency in working with culturally sensitive support to people from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION FOR THE SOCIAL WORKER:

• Licensed in Ohio
• Masters degree preferred
• Prefer at least one year in a health care setting, preferably home care or hospice
• Prior clinical experience working with geriatric, oncology or terminally ill populations highly desirable
