Peer Support Specialist

Position Title: Peer Support Specialist

Location: Bridgeville, DE

Duration: 6 months with possible extension

Schedule: Day shift | Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

Pay: $22 - 25/hr. (Depends on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing one-on-one peer support and guidance to individuals with mental health or substance use challenges

• Assist clients with treatment needs, case management activities, and connection to appropriate services

• Coordinate community resources, including behavioral health programs, social services, and support networks

• Encourage client motivation, engagement, and progress through lived experience and recovery-based support

• Communicate effectively with law enforcement personnel and behavioral health teams

Requirements

• At least 3 years of Peer Support experience required

• Experience with mental health and/or substance use recovery required

• Active Peer Support Specialist certification preferred

• High school diploma or GED
