The Counselor provides individual and group addiction treatment services to adult patients, including assessments, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.
- Conducts psychosocial assessments and develops personalized treatment plans with patient input.
- Leads counseling sessions, facilitates training groups, and offers patient education on recovery.
- Collaborates with community agencies, law enforcement, and medical staff to ensure continuity of care and compliance.
- Maintains accurate, confidential patient records and ensures timely discharge documentation.
- Participates in case reviews, treatment teams, and ongoing professional development.
- Requires a relevant four-year degree or equivalent experience, active licensure in NM, and valid driver’s license.
Physical and mental alertness, attention to detail, and adherence to confidentiality are essential for success in this role.
