We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify mental health conditions.
- Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, play therapy, art therapy, and applied behavior analysis tailored to each client’s needs.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on issues like grief, trauma (including PTSD), addiction, gender identity, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and chronic pain management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, special education staff, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and accuracy in medical records.
- Utilize telehealth platforms for remote counseling sessions, expanding access to mental health services across diverse populations.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent credential required by state regulations.
- Proven experience in mental health counseling within outpatient or inpatient settings; hospital experience is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and psychopharmacology principles.
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic purposes and CPT coding for billing processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct intake assessments effectively and build rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards along with medical terminology relevant to behavioral health care.

Pay: $60.00 - $100.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 35.0 per week
