BACKGROUND
Forestdale is a NYC child welfare agency working to prevent child abuse/neglect through parenting, prevention, and foster care services, focusing on low-income and immigrant communities in NYC. Forestdale operates out of three offices to better serve the families of Brooklyn and Queens. We help thousands of families work through complex trauma, parents raise the next amazing generation of children, and youth successfully launch into adulthood. About the Role

Join a mission-driven team dedicated to supporting children and families in foster care. As a Bilingual LMSW, you will provide trauma-informed assessments, therapy, and treatment planning that help children heal, grow, and thrive. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team—including families, case planners, and healthcare professionals—to develop care plans that promote emotional stability and long-term success. This role is ideal for early-career clinicians seeking clinical hours toward their LCSW and an opportunity to make a direct impact in the lives of children and families.

Salary

  • Masters/Limited License - $60,000
  • Masters/License - $65,000
  • Masters/License/Bilingual- $67,000 - $69,000


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical and trauma -based assessments to identify emotional and behavioral needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families, case planning teams, and medical providers.
  • Provide trauma-informed therapy
  • Support youth in developing pro-social and developmentally appropriate behaviors.
  • Coordinate referrals to community mental health and support services.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and agency standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (LMSW license required or pending within 3 months).
  • 1–3 years of experience providing direct clinical services to children, youth, and families (preferred).
  • Bilingual Spanish (required).
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care, TFCBT & CPP
  • Commitment to supporting children in foster care through a culturally responsive, strengths-based approach.
  • Compliance with all background checks and mandated trainings per NYS requirements.
