Mental Health Counselor - 2nd shift

Keystone House, Inc. in Norwalk, CT, a non-profit agency has a FULL TIME opening for a reliable and compassionate human service professional. (A Bachelor's degree in the field is required).

Job duties include:

Provide direct service and teaching skills to persons with severe and persistent mental illness by aiding them in the development of living skills and necessary supports.

Provide case management services between the hours of 3:00 pm and 11:30 pm; Tuesday through Saturday (40 hours per week)

Document according to agency/regulatory standards.

Demonstrate good clinical judgment in times of stress and crisis.

Maintain positive working relationships and professional boundaries.

Demonstrate empathy and integrity at all times.

Encourage clients in their recovery and pursuit of goals.

Participate in agency wide initiatives and committees.

Assist Program Manager with the day-to-day maintenance of the facility including responsibility for ensuring safety, security, cleanliness in compliance with applicable Dept. of Health codes/regulations and Keystone House policies and procedures.

Educational Qualifications:
 BA/BA required;
 Demonstrate ability to clearly communicate verbally and in written form.
 Valid driver's license, and provide transportation in own vehicle, when necessary.

Must provide excellent and current professional references. Paid time off/benefit package

Shift available:

3:00 pm to 11:30 pm Tuesday through Saturday/ Sunday-Monday off. This is a full time position, no exceptions.
