A contract opportunity is available for a School Psychologist to provide specialized assessment services in a K-12 educational setting located in Sacramento, CA. This role focuses on delivering comprehensive psychological evaluations for preschool-aged children (age 3 and turning 3), with a primary emphasis on multidisciplinary assessments within the preschool program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for preschool students as part of the PK Assessment Team.
  • Collaborate with educational and clinical staff to perform multidisciplinary evaluations.
  • Provide individualized 1:1 pediatric psychological services as needed.
  • Maintain professional documentation and reporting in compliance with district policies.
  • Support students developmental and educational progress through diagnostic assessment.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Valid credential or licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience working within K-12 school environments, preferably with a focus on preschool-aged children.
  • Strong skills in conducting individualized educational and psychological assessments.
  • Ability to work with children ages 3 years and younger, with a preference for prior preschool assessment experience.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.

Position Details:

  • Location: Sacramento, CA
  • Duration: Contract from ASAP start date through May 29, 2026
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (37.5 hours per week including a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
  • Assignment: Primarily one school site with assessments conducted for children throughout the district turning 3 years old.
