ExMed, Inc. is actively searching for a qualified Psychiatrist for an immediate locum tenens contract position for utilization management services.

Assignment Details

• Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
• Shifts: Full-time
• Commitment: 6-month contract
• Tele: $210.00/HR
• On-Site: $300.00/HR

Practice Description

• Utilization review includes initial review by LCSW/LMFT clinical staff. If services are denied, secondary review and final approval are needed from Psychiatrist before decision is rendered.
• Scheduled as Primary Reviewer 3 days per week, with backup support as needed
• Peer to Peer Hospital Reviews for cases where there is hospital disagreement
• Ongoing review of UM Functions and monitoring for trends, concerns, and network adequacy
• Support with clinical training for Medi-Cal medical necessity, Case studies and Interrater Reliability
• Client has an E.H.R., Clinician's Gateway, so candidates must be computer literate.
• Looking for someone who is willing to learn and can be flexible with changing county needs along with changing state and federal requirements.
