Desert Insight is growing, and we’re looking for a bilingual clinician with strong clinical instincts, excellent assessment skills, and a trauma-informed approach. This role focuses solely on initial assessments for children, teens, and adults, helping clients feel supported while determining the appropriate level of care. Your assessment work will guide how clients are connected, either to one of our therapists or to outside agencies when that is the best fit.

What You’ll Do

  • Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments
  • Identify presenting symptoms clearly and determine medical necessity
  • Assess for trauma-related symptoms, dissociation, and AuDHD/neurodivergent presentations
  • Provide clinically grounded level-of-care recommendations
  • Document symptoms and clinical impressions with clarity and accuracy
  • Offer warm handoffs to internal therapists or external providers
  • Collaborate with the clinical and admin teams to support smooth transitions into ongoing therapy
  • Work onsite in Cathedral City and Indio as needed, with potential hybrid flexibility

Schedule

  • 20–25 hours per week to start
  • Opportunity to grow into a full-time position
  • Flexible scheduling within office hours

Part-Time Perks

  • 401(k) with employer matching
  • Flexible schedule
  • Quarterly performance bonus
  • Supportive, warm, community-centered team

Who You Are

  • Bilingual English/Spanish (required)
  • Skilled in assessment, differential diagnosis, and documenting medical necessity
  • Comfortable assessing trauma symptoms, dissociation, and AuDHD presentations
  • Compassionate, grounded, and able to support clients in vulnerable moments
  • Confident working with children, teens, and adults
  • Clear communicator and collaborative team member
  • Comfortable working both in person and via telehealth
  • Community focused

Requirements

  • Registered Associate or Licensed Clinician (AMFT, ACSW, APCC, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC) in California
  • Experience completing assessments preferred
  • Strong clinical writing and documentation skills
  • Trauma-informed care experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required
  • Reliable transportation for in-person assessments
